Bake frozen croissants straight from the freezer at 375°F (190°C) for 18 to 20 minutes, or in an air fryer at 350°F (175°C) for 10 to 12 minutes. There is no thawing and no overnight proof: our croissants are shaped and proofed before they are frozen raw, so the only step left is baking.
Bake times at a glance
| Method | Preheat | Bake time | Then |
|---|---|---|---|
| Oven | 375°F (190°C) | 18 to 20 minutes, until golden brown | Cool briefly on a rack |
| Air fryer | 350°F (175°C) | 10 to 12 minutes, until puffed and golden brown | Cool briefly |
These are the times printed on the bake card of our croissants (3-pack). Whichever method you use, bake to an internal temperature of at least 74°C (165°F).
In the oven, step by step
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Line a baking tray with parchment and put the croissants on it, straight from the freezer.
- Bake 18 to 20 minutes, until deep golden brown.
- Let them cool briefly on a rack. The layers finish setting as they cool, and the first bite is crisper.
In the air fryer, step by step
- Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
- Place the frozen croissants in the basket with space between each one.
- Air fry 10 to 12 minutes, until puffed and golden brown.
- Remove carefully and let cool briefly before eating.
The air fryer is a good choice for one or two croissants when you do not want to heat a full oven.
Why there is no overnight proof
Some bake-at-home croissants ask you to thaw them on the counter overnight so the dough can proof before it goes in the oven. Ours are already proofed before they are frozen raw, so they go from freezer to oven. If you are comparing options, see our guide to the best frozen croissants in Canada.
If something looks off
- Pale on top: judge by colour, not only the clock. Ovens differ; keep baking until the croissants are golden brown.
- Soft the next day: croissants are at their best the day you bake them. Bake only what you will eat.
- Crowded tray: leave room between pieces so heat can circulate.
Our vegan croissants are different
The vegan croissants do need a proof. Thaw them on a parchment-lined tray at room temperature for 6 to 8 hours to proof, then bake at 375°F (190°C) for 14 to 16 minutes. Always follow the card for the product you ordered.
Pain au chocolat and croissant bites
Our pain au chocolat has its own card with the same oven and air fryer times, see how to bake frozen pain au chocolat. Croissant bites also have their own card, so check it on the pack before baking.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need to thaw frozen croissants before baking?
No. Put them in the oven straight from the freezer. Thawing them first is only needed for our vegan croissants, which proof for 6 to 8 hours.
Can I bake frozen croissants in an air fryer?
Yes. Preheat to 350°F (175°C), leave space between croissants and air fry for 10 to 12 minutes until puffed and golden brown.
Why are the croissants frozen raw instead of baked?
So you bake them once, at home, and they come out of your oven rather than being reheated. They are shaped and proofed, then frozen before baking.
What temperature and time for croissants in the oven?
375°F (190°C) for 18 to 20 minutes on a parchment-lined tray, then cool briefly on a rack.
Do you ship croissants across Canada?
Yes, frozen on dry ice to the provinces we deliver to. Check delivery areas for your postal code. We do not ship to the United States.
