Customer Experience & Order Fulfillment Associate

Vancouver
Full time

Be part of the team that’s redefining fresh bread.

We started Atome Bakery because good bread shouldn’t only be for city folks. We freeze our sourdough right before baking, so it finishes rising in your oven, perfect crust and aroma, minus the early-morning bakery trip. We’re a small team obsessed with quality, growth, and making people fall back in love with bread.

Our customers are at the heart of everything we do, and we’re looking for someone who feels the same way. As our Customer Experience & Order Fulfillment Associate, you’ll be the voice (and heart) of Atome Bakery for our customers and the steady hand that helps daily shipments go out smoothly. From answering questions and solving issues to planning shipments and creating labels, you’ll make sure every interaction, and every box, is handled with care.

What You’ll Do

Customer Experience (60–70%):

  • 💬 Respond to customer tickets via email, chat, and social with empathy, clarity, and kindness

  • 🧭 Troubleshoot order, delivery, or account issues, and follow through until it’s solved

  • ☎️ Jump on quick calls for complex cases when it helps resolve things faster

  • 📚 Be a trusted source of product and order information

  • 🔁 Identify recurring issues and work with the team to fix them at the source

  • 🤝 Collaborate with marketing, operations, and website teams to improve the overall experience

  • 🧩 Share customer insights to shape communication and service improvements

  • 📒 Help build internal documentation and processes as we grow

Order Fulfillment (30–40%):

  • 📦 Plan and organize daily orders for shipment (priorities, cut-offs, and exceptions)

  • 🏷️ Create shipping labels and packing slips; verify addresses and delivery preferences

  • 🧊 Prepare orders for frozen shipping with the correct components and packaging

  • 🚚 Coordinate pickups and communicate with carriers/partners to keep things on schedule

  • 🔍 Perform spot checks for accuracy and quality; resolve issues before boxes leave

  • 🗂️ Keep inventory and order statuses tidy inside our tools; flag delays or risks early

  • 📈 Share fulfillment trends and ideas to reduce mistakes and support smoother operations

Who You Are

  • You genuinely enjoy helping people, and you’re proud when you turn a problem into a positive experience

  • You’re empathetic, patient, and kind in your communication

  • You’re rigorous, organized, and detail-oriented (our customers count on us!)

  • You communicate clearly in English (doesn’t have to be your first language)

  • You like working with others and sharing ideas across teams

  • You’re curious about how things work, and how they could work better

  • You’re based in Vancouver (this role is in-person at our office, free bread included 🥖)

Why Join Us

  • Work directly with the co-founders and a team that genuinely cares about people

  • Help build a customer experience we’re known for, personal, caring, and human

  • Collaborate across marketing, ops, and tech to make real changes that matter

  • Be part of a growing startup that moves fast, values initiative, and celebrates ideas

  • Enjoy free bread, pastries, and coffee ☕

  • Join a fun, multilingual team that mixes creativity, food, and purpose
